The Russell’s Customs Tokyo Marui Recoil Shock:
Why it offers what nothing else can, and for longer.
The TM Recoil Shock, at its core, is a premium electric blowback AEG; but what happens to it here at Russell’s Customs separates it from the fold.
BUILT AK RECOIL SHOCK GEARBOX
The Russell’s Customs brushless recoil shock offers several unique features:
It employs a tuned T238 brushless motor offering no felt motor heat, uncompromised battery efficiency, and instant motor response of 11.1v.
Jefftron Bluetooth ETU with a bespoke trigger tune for maximum realism. The M4/SCAR variants with a crisp, on the wall single stage trigger and very positive reset. AK variants are tuned with a 2-stage trigger with smooth take-up, and a clean 2lb second stage for precision trigger feel.
Strong electric impulse with upgraded recoil springs. The dominant part of the recoil shock is in the name: the recoil. It’s consistent and satisfying, with no after vibration (like a KWA). A joy on semi but demands the experienced of automatic fire. The trigger rewards accurate semiauto trigger work, the automatic rewards when you don’t.
EMPTY MAG DETECTION
We’ve all been there: in a deep firefight and your gun tells everyone you’re empty with that hollow
*pop* *pop* *pop*
Major oof moment, but it happens to all of us. One of the fantastic functions of the TM Recoil Shock is when you shoot your last shot it won't embarrass you: it’ll reward you. When your magazine eventually runs dry two things will happen: it won’t cycle, and like an AR15 the bolt catch will kick out. When that happens: change the mag, press the bolt release, and return accurate fire. For the milsim experience, having those couple extra steps really adds to the chaos of an exchange of fire. It will reward you for smooth action, on point technique, and getting back into the fight.
The Recoil Shock AK47 and AK Storm also have empty mag detection. When the mags run dry do what the Spetsnaz do: change the mag, reach under the receiver, slam the bolt to the back, and get back after it. One of the unique things about the AK is the iron sights are usable at longer ranges, past 200ft. It doesn’t suffer from the iron sight issues of the M4 where the hop path takes it high above the front post sight. It makes it a joy to use as is, just clean and simple.
I could write 5 more paragraphs about this unique and spectacular AEG, but it’ll do no justice or explain the half of it. Just look at buyers reactions, its unlike anything they’ve handled. For me now, it’s the only way I can play.
The recoil, the trigger break and reset, empty mag detection, crippling accuracy all with flawless reliability in hot or cold. It beckons you to load up and play another game. It rewards you again and again, shot after shot, and will do so all day and all night.
